Burning Extra Fat In The Body

It's too easy to put on weight, and burning fat is a hard task that needs patience, as well as regularity. Many people are worried because of extra body fats that make them obese and clumsy. They easily catch germs and are prone to many other diseases such as hypertension, high cholesterol, high level of uric acid, diabetes, shortness of breath, kidney pain, heart problems and other complications.

Some facts about fat burning

A clear idea of how the body gains and burns fat will help a great deal to reduce weight. The whole mechanism must be fully understood before taking initiative. The facts are briefly discussed as follows:
  • Fats and carbohydrates are primarily used by your body to get energy for carrying out its tasks. While you exercise, protein is used in little amount, but it is mostly used for repairing muscles after workout.
  • Depending on the activity done during all day, the ratio of the fuel gained with these main nutrients varies.
  • For intense exercise, like fast running, the body relies more on carbohydrates than fats for getting its fuel to perform this task. Similarly, for other aggressive physical activities, carbohydrates are used to get energy and not the fats. The pathways available for metabolism to break down carbohydrates for producing energy to be used are more efficient than those for breakdown of fats.
  • For light and slower exercise, fat is used more to get energy than carbohydrates, so here the situation is reversed.
  • For reducing weight, the type of fuel used does not matter. What's important is how many calories you are burning, as opposed to how many calories you take in from diet. There must be a balance in it for people with normal body build.
  • When the number of calories taken surpasses the amount that is burned, you are likely to get it stored in body in the form of fats. It accumulates mostly in lower tummy, thighs, neck and biceps.

These facts will help in taking the right step towards health improvement and ideal weight maintenance.

Burn more; take less- The key formula
This rule must be considered in order to lose weight. This means that the calories burned must exceed the number of calories gained. Otherwise, the weight will either be stabilize at the same point or continue increasing. This is the foremost important thing that over-weight people must keep in mind. An obese woman taking 3000 calories per day, must burn all of these and some extra too; since she already has fat deposits.

Cut calories drastically
The first step is to reduce calories consumed through diet to significantly lower level. Get only 1500 or for some 1200 calories a day. Seek help from a dietician, who will devise a diet plan with minimum calories. Try to ensure that your diet gives enough supply of all necessary nutrients, minerals and vitamins. People on a self-diet, tend to have many health complications. In extreme cases, they can even suffer from organ failures. Therefore, burn fat sensibly.

Guidelines on what to take and not:-
